Program and Discipline Development

 

       The School of Mathematics currently has two undergraduate programs:  "Mathematics and Applied Mathematics" and "Statistics". “Mathematics and Applied Mathematics” was awarded as a National First-Rank Characteristic Discipline.
       There are two M.S. programs of first-level discipline including "Mathematics" and "Statistics". “Mathematics” is also projected in the “Twelfth Five-Year” provincial plan to be cultivated as a first-level discipline with doctorate authorization.      
       "Mathematics" has four secondary disciplines: pure mathematics, applied mathematics, operational research and cybernetics, and probability and mathematical statistics. The discipline "Statistics" includes three subfields: financial statistics, economic statistics and biostatistics.
